Usability issues are most often uncovered during a product’s initial prototyping stage. Here, the primary focus is on UX. During the final prototyping stage, user testing comes into play. Here, the focus tends to be more on resolving UI issues.
An iterative approach may take longer and involve additional costs. But such an approach almost always pays for itself and saves money in the long run.
