We are rebranding National Community Church and this design is part of that process. (The logo on this concept is also new.)
This is a dark contrast site. But we feel like that makes it "edgy" and that’s quite intentional. I am concerned about readability and I’m considering making all subsequent page content with dark text on white background. But that is still up in the air.
During the design process, we were constantly focused on just a few key areas: media organization, navigation and relevance of information displayed–all of which have little to do with design. 🙂 However, some of the major design elements were heavily discussed as well, in particular the color scheme (the orange was originally blue) and the overall contrast (early design concepts were based on a white background).
Media Delivery: Flash (Migrating from Quicktime) and standard mp3/mp4 podcast
eCommerce: Shopify (temporarily)
Just So You Know
We’re a church that meets in the middle of the marketplace (Union Station) on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. We are 80% twenty-somethings and over 70% unmarried. Our vision is to meet in movie theaters at Metro® stops in the DC area.
